.NET web app hosting?

I've developed a .NET application for a client and am looking for a recommendation for "managed hosting."

I don't want to buy my own box, but maybe I do, if there aren't other good solutions. Is there a type of hosting service for windows / .NET apps, that people recommend from personal experience?

I used OrcsWeb for a while, and they're excellent. Their price reflects that excellence, though.

I use  I haven't deployed anything .Net yet, but they have the capability and they're affordable.

Thursday, July 17, 2003 has the best support we ever had.

We are moving websites from because of bad support. (Their corporate policy overrules customers' need)

BTW. We first heard about webhost4life here on JOS.

I'd agree somewhat with Advice (on Interland).  They supported their core hosting reasonably well, but with some of their bundled offerings, the support and documentation was abysmal.

I though Brinkster wouldn't let you upload your code behind files?

Interland has terrible support. I've also experinced downtime with them frequently.

Good luck with Brinkster.

I was searching for hosting companies and I had a question about their service so I emailed their customer service.

Nothing. After a week. Nada. Emailed them and the tech support. Nada. Nothing.

At this point, I had chosen their competition but for giggles I emailed their VP of Customer Service to let him know that his people had never even bothered to contact me....

..and he didn't respond either. Not even a auto-reply "thank you for your email" message.

So yeah, good luck with them if you actually have a question about their service.

I've haven't pushed them to the limits, but for what I've done, has been great. And their 24x7 customer service is the most responsive I've ever seen.

I was with Interland for a while. Uptime was great, but their support is VERY VERY slow and somewhat reluctant to help. I'm now using WebRhino, and they've been good with prompt support.

Take a look at ... very reliable, amazingly talented customer support team, and VERY responsive... no complaints yet! (Cheap too!)

I've got several active sites on Maximumasp. Their support is excellent and there are lots of 'already loaded' components for you to use.

Brinkster's been a great solution for me.  I haven't found another free .Net hosting.  When I had a free account (limited by the lack of code-behind files), their customer service was less than expeditious, but with a premium account, they've really been on top of things.  I think they're the hosting company for the international .Net association as well ( ).

I second .  Their support responds to priority 1 incidents within minutes, and even lower priorities get much better response than you'd expect.  Also, the pricing is outstanding ($9.95/mo for & ms sql...that's the mid-range level).

I've used FlareHosting and am currently using WebHost4Life. Both have been great.

Take a look at <a href=""></a> We use it for 17 months. The best support team and low (the lowest?) price.
