Requirements specs

Has anyone read "Exploring Requirements : Quality Before Design" by Donald C. Gause, Gerald M. Weinberg:

David Walker at Lighthouse on the web likes it:

Is it worth the money?

I haven't read it.  But of all the books along the lines of planning, methods, etc. I like Alistair Cockcburn's "Agile Software Development" the best:

Sorry if this is taking your thread off topic.

It contains alot of meat for you to consider - its definitely a heavy read.  Though seeming a thin paperback, I'm still reading it.

Oh I've got no problems with thick reads:-) Thx for the tip.

I stumbled on to this while exploring the subject:

I'm sort of numb on the topic right now...  Too much information, not enough practice.  Still, day to day, my method goes something like this:

Feature requested.
Feature scoped & sheduled.
Feature coded.
Feature debugged.
Feature unit test.
Feature integrated.
Feature system tested.

Feeling a little like a hamster on a wheel these days.  Fortunately, they are letting us out of our cages to go to Supercomm next week.  Come see the free range rodents.

Anyone else going to Supercomm next week?

I just dumped about 70 Kilograms of paper about methodologies and the like this week-end.

Let's say that I feel much better and ready to go back to real work using straightforward ways.

Funny! What sort of stuff had you been reading Phil that you weren't overly impressed with?
