Tablet PC killer app

Forget all the fancy stuff, it's PowerPoint that will ride this baby to a sure success. All the millions of us hitting the road with presentations on our notebooks will gladly plunk down 300$ extra to be able to swivel that screen around and do on-stage annotations (think drawing circles and arrows) on those slides.

For me, the best advantage of tablet-style laptops is the ability to detach the screen, sit on the sofa and surf the web whilst watching telly.  Couch potato heaven :0)

All I need now is a waterproof version so I can view the web in the bath...

Didn't Vadem come out with a tablet PC in the mid 90's?  It flopped because it cost too much.  Hopefully they don't fall into this trap again....

...and before them Compaq dabbled in tablet style machines using Pen Windows. I hope the new Tablet PC takes off, but I won't be buying one until they get smaller, lighter and run for longer on batteries.

I want to see Sony take one of their small sub-notebooks (from the SRX range), remove the keyboard and it into a Tablet PC. That I would buy.
