I just finished reading "Growing a Business" by Paul Hawken and I loved it. The Author really seems to enjoy business and growing one from the ground up, not focusing on huge growth and venture capital but instead on bootstrapping and controlled growth. This doesn't always work for every industry but I think it applies to software well, especially small shareware companies.

Another thing I loked about this book was the human aspect. He shows how companies have become successful by incorporating the core beliefs of the owners, citing example such as Ben and Jerry's and Patagonia.

Here's some more on that topic:

Tao of Jeet Kune Do, by Bruce Lee.  Incredibly intelligent book.
