Dates and scheduling

Do you think it is wise to add scheduling capabilites to office software?  On one hand it could be removing a barrier to entry, on the other hand, stick to what you are doing, and do it really well.
If I decide to add the scheduling capabilities to the program what is the best way to tackle this problem in c# .net using windows forms with multiple instances (clients) running concurently interacting with a db.

What exactly do you mean by "scheduling"?  As in a scheduled task, or a timer?  Or "Dates and Scheduling" as a feature point of Outlook?

To clarify, I am working on office software for a legal office; when I say scheduling, I am refering to the scheduling of appts for clients of the law office.

You will need to use COM Interop to achieve this.

The article 'Programming Outlook with C#' at describes how to call Outlook from .NET.
