Custom States feature

Is there any way that you would consider customizing the states a given bug undergoes ? Ie. allow the customization of opened/verified (where is it?)/assigned/resolved/closed statuses and the dependecies on each other. Depending on a given business process used by any company these may differ from those you hardcoded.

It would also be nice if you could customize the requirement of sending e-mail notification on each status change. Some are vital but currently dont do this (such as closed)

We ship the source code and you are free to modify it as needed. Disclaimer: we cannot provide technical support to modified code. 

The statuses are all simply living in the Status table in the database. If you change it there, you will see that change in the Resolve as droplist. You can add or delete or edit these statuses in this table,  but you should do that before creating any cases that will reference the status. This is a source modification and outside the realm of tech support.

Closed does not send a notification, but Resolved does, which basically meets the same need, but a more imprtant need. Only the person who opens a case should close it. They don't need to be notified of what they themselves did.  If anyone else resolves a case you open, you will be notified. They will not be notified when you close it, but they don't generally need to be. If anyone wants notifications no matter what, they can subscribe to a case.
