Email Problem

I keep getting this message when trying to notify assignees:  (the "a"s are subs by me)

"There was an error with your request. Please fix the problem described below and hit back to resubmit your request.
Error sending mail to: Object required "

Does Fogbugz not like the period in the name or something?

Try running the register.bat script in the fogbugz\accessories folder.  Sounds like you don't have something registered correctly.

Also, if you keep getting the error, look in default.asp.  There are two lines that say

On Error Resume Next
ixBug = SubmitBug( fNewBugNotification, sCommand, fCancel, fFileTooLong, errMain )

Comment out the on error resume next call by making it
' On Error Resume Next

Then it will spit out the real error msg.

Ok, I did a search on all instances of “On Error Resume Next” in the default.asp and commented each one out.

Nothing changed, still go the ambiguous error.

I just went through now and commented out every occurrence in every ASP page in that site to make sure the error shows up.

This looks like the actual error:(occurs when a case is edited, i.e. an email notification would go out)

Server object error 'ASP 0177 : 80040112'

Server.CreateObject Failed

/util.asp, line 965

Class is not licensed for use

Here is the actual line that errors out in util.asp:

Dim smtp : set smtp = Server.CreateObject("Dart.Smtp")

Any ideas??

In our knowledge base, we have a section listed by error message. We have an article entitled "Server.CreateObject error or Library Not Registered", please take a look at that one:
