Reports problem

I've spent some time (with little success) to use Excel and Access for report generation. My findings:
- Access : not a suitable tool for the average project leader
- Excel : gives me the wrong data
  * must refresh
  * often only a subset of my query returned (e.g. 60 items, but I don't know which subset!)
  * many items are duplicates (e.g. 1 ixBug is duplicated 4 times if it has been edited 3 times)
This causes the estimates in the pivot table to be much higher than I expect.

Are the 'how to' documents up to date with current database layout?

Please add a little more control to Fogbugz so external reporting tools are not necessary anymore. E.g.
- temporary filter with option for 1 page (full text/history) per bug (can make this with CSS on modern browsers)
- add multiple projects

I have solved the problems regarding the strange behavior (my version of excel has somehow generated different connections than in the how-to document). Easy is different...
