Fixed-in version

There's a Version field that indicates the version that a bug was found in.  Should there not also be a Fixed-In Version field that shows the version/build in which the bug was fixed?

Otherwise, how does the originator know whether or not he has a new enough version to test the fix?

Good point -- it depends a bit on the rest of your build system. I've been in the habit of having daily automatic overnight builds. That way if the testers see "resolved-fixed" on January 24th, they wait for the Jan 25 build before regressing. If there's some reason a fix doesn't show up in the next daily build, I include a text comment in the resolution.

I dunno, it just seems to me that if there's a Found-In version, here oughta be a Fixed-In version too.  Maybe it's a zen thing.  A harmonious whole, lotus petals floating into the lily pond or something.  You understand.
