MySQL v SQLServer experiences

Just read that MySQL is now supported.
How do you choose if $ are not the factor in the decision?

If $ are not a factor use SQL Server. It's generally considered Industrial Strength, has excellent full text search, and will scale beyond your wildest imagination without ever losing data.

We support MySQL for situations where $ /are/ a factor.

If you have tons of experience managing mySQL and know it a lot better than SQL Server, you'll probably do better with mySQL just because you know how it works and what to expect.
