Don't reassign Fix For when Assignable is "No"

We create a release like "February CD". People assign things to that release and at some point I want to set "Assignable" to "No" so that no further cases will be assigned to that release. However, after Assignable is set to "No", if someone goes in and edits the case it gets changed to "ASAP".

There are many times where we no longer want people to assign new cases to a release, but where the release development is still active. We want to be able to edit the cases without losing the release flag.

We've just run into the same problem here, is there a work around or a solution planned for this problem?

I am having the same problem. I would categorize this as a bug, so I will throw my support for a fix for some future release.
