The Enter-Shift combination is buggy in its display in the Normal view. Rather than a line break, I get a pseudo-tab effect. Anyone else experiencing this? Build 2.0.19 on Win2k Pro SP4.

It happens to me. I think it's when I'm adding text to the bottom of existing text. On one site I separate text sections with a
and a
. So I go to the bottom and do an Enter-shift and get what you get. Once there is some text below that point, I think it works.

I'll pay attention the next time it happens to make sure I'm remembering right.

I noticed this too, but I think what's happening is that the linebreak takes up physical space at the end of the line - hit CTRL + A right now and you'll see that at the end of every carriage return I type

there's a tiny space. That's what you're seeing. Start typing again and it should be on the next line.
