Problem with {$.headline$} in 2.0.7

Problem: Articles Created in 2.0.7 have a newline character appended to the {$.headline$} output. This reaks havoc (misspelling intentional) with javascript navigation systems and other design tweaks built using CityScript.

Steps to Recreate:
1. Install CityDesk 2.0.7Beta
2. Create a new CityDesk site
3. Edit the simple template and change this line:
<p><strong>{$ .headline $}</strong></p>
to this:
<p><strong>>>>{$ .headline $}<<<</strong></p>
The problem is easier to see with the less than and greater than signs.
4. Preview the site
5. Click on the link to view the Getting Started with CityDesk.  Notice there is what appears to be a space at the end of the headline.
6. View source and see that the space is a newline character (the <<< appears on a different line than the headline.

I started adding new articles and wasted most of a day chasing down cause of this problem :-(

An oddity is that I can open one old site and preview fine.  The problem only appears in that site when I create a new article or toggle through the headline field of an old article.

I wiped my system and reinstalled different CityDesk versions: this bug does not appear in versions 1.0, 2.0.3 Beta or 2.0.5 Beta.
