publish via sftp (secure ftp)?

The web hosting company I use ( )  and recommend to the non-profits I work with (along with CD), strongly prefers the use of sftp (secure ftp) instead of regular ftp.

I'm guessing that CD won't include sftp support anytime soon :-), but are there any suggestions for incorporating a command line version I have into the 'pubish' process?  E.g., is there some way to automate it as it makes CD just that little bit harder for them to use.

thx, michael

Is there any way you can detect changes to the citydesk.xml file? If that's published last, you can cause it to trigger an event when it's changed, right?

You can configure your sftp program as a "browser". Then when you publish, and the little Internet Explorer icon pops up, you click on the down arrow and choose the sftp program from the menu and it runs, copying your site up.

We'll add a feature to use arbitrary command lines for publishing to the next version.
