Home or Back

If I publish a newsletter and want to take the readers back to page 1 if they have moved to linked o I do it.

At the moment, "Home" appears on the page which takes them back one step too far

I'm a little confused by your description of the problem, can you be a little bit more specific. You want to take them back to the first page of the newsletter rather than the homepage of your site??

Are you wanting a back button on your page?  If so, there is a little javascript code that will be placed in the link field to make this happen.  If i'm not mistaken, its

onclick=history.go(-1) href="#"

hope this helps....

or do you mean one level up in the hierarchy?

That is often done with a bread crumb menu

home > newsletter > article

see some earlier postings.

To go back ONE page:

<a href="javascript:history.back()">

To go back to the BEGINNING of you Newlsetter, do the following:

1) Within CityDesk, right-click on the index page (the landing-page, the first page) of your Newsletter.  Select "Copy Magic Name:"

2) In the template that will display all the pages of your newsletter, put the following code:

<a href="xxxxxxxxxxxx">Newlsetter Front Page</a>

Replace "xxxxxxxxxxxx" with the Magic Name you copied.

This will build a link to the BEGGINING of your Newletter on every page of it, as long as every page of it is built with this template.
