How can I get (...) to appear in page title?

... e.g. can I escape the interpretation by CityDesk of (...) as a comment?

I need a title such as:

Format (line) menu

Uh. I can put parens in my article headlines and they work.

Me too. It is putting them in title I'm having difficulty with.

The problem is that I need them to be retained in the filename (for external linkage) - CityDesk interprets them as comment indicators, removing them and their contents.

If you have a copy of Access handy, you can force any name you want by hand.

BIG FAT WARNING: This is UNDOCUMENTED, NOT SUPPORTED by Fog Creek or by me, and will probably GROW HAIR ON THE PALMS OF YOUR HANDS. So don't blame me, whatever happens.

But if you want to proceed: Open your .cty file in Microsoft Access 2000 or 2002. Open the tblStructure table. Scroll down until you find the name of your article in the sName column. Change the value of the sPublishAs column in the same row to whatever name you like. Close the table. Close Access.

Go back to CityDesk, make any change to the article to force it to republish, and publish.

Hmmmm, I wonder if publish-name-editing would be a useful addition to Copy Boy?
