MS Office Installer annoyance

I have a problem with CityDesk I believe has been addressed before, but I still can not get it working.
When I start CityDesk, the MS Office Installer pops up and tries to install some stuff. Since whatever he is looking for is not on my PC, he asks for the Office CD, which I don't have either. The same thing happens when I open a CityDesk article.
I do have the "Microsoft Shared/Triedit" folder with dhtmledit.ocx, trieedit.dll and dtcrt.dll. I also tried to re-register those files using regsrv32.
Does anybody have an idea what else I could try?

I'm sorry that I'm posting again already...;) but I found out what happened and somehow fixed it:

There was a dll (msolap.dll) missing in CommonFiles/System/Ole DB. I downloaded it from the net, put it there and registered it with regsrv32. That seemed to help since now I don't see the Office Installer anymore.

I don't know what exactly caused this file to miss or what happened at all...
