index-2.html why

In one of my web folders CD keeps copying the index.html file in there as index-2.html

I have to manually copy the proper index.html file to make it work.

How do I get rid of the index-2.html file and have cd copy index.html?

I don't want to delete the xml file since I've manually ftp'd some images to the site and have CD simply point to them. So if I delete the xml file I am afraid that CD will delete all the files in my web root.

The short answer: rename the article "index" to something else (e.g. "blah"), and then rename it back to "index" and publish.

I've found that whenever I copy an article named "index" from one folder to another (which I often do to save time), the copy gets published with the filename "index-2.html". Doing the rename trick above sets it back to "index.html".

This was one of the bugs that went unfixed in version 2.0.
