I'm trying to build a web where I can upload reports (financial information). Is CD a good choice, I had never done a web page before.

Very good choice. Once set up, CityDesk is very convenient to use. The psycho treshold is so low that one actually does update one's website instead of pushing the task further and further down the todo list.
Patrick's comment above matters more than most people realise. If people enjoy setting up new pages, you'l get more new pages. This is true even when the people involved are just you.
I think CD is easy to learn. There is one caveat I would mention. Since you are talking about financial info, this probably involves tables of some sort. If you want to work with tables, it is best done outside of CD, unless you want to mess with the html directly (and it does not sound that way).

The Microsoft Office products (Access & Excel)work well with CD, We have a daily page we copy and paste directly from Access queries into normal view and it works almost as good as Frontpage. The weakness compared to FP is if you have to edit the results, you have to use HTML view.
hi i have tried using this CD and find it a little hard or iam making it only seem that hard..I do not want to upload a file named index.html to my server for fear it will overwrite one of my other websites index main page...i just want to be able to change the reporting news everyday within one of my websites...is this possible some explain how eaxctley to use city desk i see how to upload it to my ftp but what am i uploading >>>
There is another way to work with tables without needing to edit among HTML code. See here:
