CityDesk Clone for OS X and UNIX People

Wow..  looks like a nice product but I guess the fog creek people did't consider porting their product to the Mac OS X operating system.  Knowing that the G5 is the fastest desktop going and that we only have a handful of viruses to worry about compared to the hundreds of Microsoft bases ones, I'd think that they might be more interested in staying in business and catering to the "Elite"

Oh well..

Yes, and then see January 13 here:

I guess that means that Fog Creek should get this year's summer intern to port Jet, VB6 and COM to the Mac, after which it will be a doddle to write CityDesk for Mac.

I was just joking. But it is a small wonder that no one hasn't cloned CD yet. I sure hope that CD3 will make it in time.

I would imagine its because the components used to create CityDesk are basically Windows based.  A "cloning" would be a from the ground up product using different tools.  Not a whole lot of fun if you are the one having to make it...

Plus, there would then be compatibility issues I would think...

It never hurts to ask though.  If the demand was there, they might just do it.

Under point 4: "We benefit from using...the DHTML edit control...."

I don't know that I'd use the word "benefit" here.
