How do you export an article out of CD?

I've been experimenting with the starter edition to see if CD fits my needs and I was wondering - is there a way to export something I write via CD's editor (short of cutting in normal view {ctrl-a} and pasting into notepad and saving as .txt file).

I'm asking the above from the point of view of content/code (in this case html mark up) separation, where I want to keep my content in as neutral a format as I can.

Set up a publish location on your machine.  Just publish locally

Another approach would be to create a template family that created plain text files, or even XML files.

What this would do is publish two versions of your site. The first would be straightforward HTML. The second could be plain text files, XML files, or whatever.

And like the previous post explained, you can publish different versions of the files to each location. So you could have a "file copy" publish that puts the pages as text files onto your hard drive, and a "ftp" publish that puts them on your site.
