City Desk very slow in home template

Please tell me why City Desk is so slow to take me back and forth between normal and html views in Home Template.  (Save and Close in that template is also slow.)

What shall I do to fix it?  Do I have to reinstall City Desk?

Thanks.  Dianne Wandruff

Having seen your home template, I think that its extremely large size filled with many tables might be slowing down the rendering.

I just had one of these. Changing views usually crashed CityDesk. I kept eliminating tables until it worked. You don't have nearly as many tables as I started with so I'm not sure that's it. It was a pain and I'm not sure which deleted table made the editor work again.

I'd worry a little about all the MS Word formatting that litters the text. You get these when you paste from Word into an article. I try not to have any of these:
<span style="FONT-FAMILY: Tahoma; mso-bidi-font-family: Helvetica; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold">

Then maybe the links to .asp pages confuse the editor. I don't know.

None of these ideas are quick, easy, or guaranteed to work.
