Noodles
It's late and I'm tired.....but........
If you never pick up 2 ends of the same noodle, won't you end up with exactly 1 loop?
To me the questions revolves around the chances of looping a single noodle - figure that out, then add 1 for the big long noodle made out of the rest, which seems to me to be 1/N^2 the first time , 1/(N-2)^2 the second time....
right?
