Not sure about celeb restaurants, but one of the best restaurants period is in NYC, and if you recognize the super-wealthy blue bloods of Manhattan you'd be able to do some "star" watching. It's called Daniel. Although I am far from super-rich, I am a foodie so I did eat there once, and it was the best dining experience I've ever had in my life (my girlfriend concurred), but also the most expensive. I've never left a restaurant after a 3 plus hour meal where I felt energized, not full, and completely satisfied... until I got my Visa bill!!! But if you are going to blow money at a ridiculously priced restaurant, why not eat at a good restaurant and not just a trendy one?
Thanks, Daniels looks good! We're there for four nights, so I think that's definitely going on the list. Shame I have to wear a jacket and tie though.
I second the Daniel recommendation - my boyfriend took me there for my birthday this year and we also had the best meals of our lives.
My co workers used to rave about that place.
Thanks. And we found out what the hotel was - the Drake Swissotel . Our memory was playing tricks on us.
Can't remember it's name but there's an amazing raw food vegetarian restaurant on the upper west side on Amsterdam Ave. somewhere around 81st Street. Some of the best food I have ever had!
There are some quite good and much more reasonably priced restaraunts in Brooklyn. The two main restaraunt areas of Brooklyn are Smith Street, between the Bergen and Carroll street F stations, and in Williamsburg around the Bedford L station. I live near Smith street, so I'm biased towards that area. My current local favorite is Latin Grill, Corner of Court and Kane, one block west of Smith Street.
and williamsburg... bedford avenue in the single digit north streets - north 1 to north 10 or so... and surrounding areas.
