Hacker need such a tool?

I've got a new idea about a hacker tool.
If you are a hacker, please review my idea.

The idea comes from visualassist, as a VS6 IDE addin ,visualassist can display  functions names in a tip window with hyperlinks to those function definition.

Now I am just thinking, how about to develop an similar software which can work in any editor?
Why should I display only function names? If I use some regular expression mechanism, I can display anything.

Yes, Cygwin grep can do the same thing, but maybe some lazy programmers are too lazy to switch between VS and cygwin?

I am sharing my ideas about new software which are just in my MIND.

When I work for a medical instrument company. I have an new idea about software which can help phyisicians and surgeons visualize their logic flow (all the physicians and surgens think according to strict logic flow which is standarded) . maybe like MindManager.

Then I work for an outsourcing company which develop embedded softwares for some car vendors. I also got the idea to develop some C code analyzer because it is too boring to assure our code solid

I've also plan to create many many new softwares.

All above are just ideas, not advertisement.

When I share my ideas for review, I give just short, simple description and I will emphasize its sameness with other softwares because I know there are many shareware-authors who are visiting JoS

yeah and then you tag some ridiculous 8 line signature to every post, which is incredibly irritating.  Not to mention the fact that your attempts at marketting-speak are laughable.  If you're not a deliberate troll, you're the single most clueless software 'vendor' I've ever encountered.

The front page of your web site looks cleaner than before: well done.

"smart, tasteful and lazy hacker" doesn't work (for cultural reasons). Instead, when you post here on JoS it would be cooler to just put "redguardtoo (http://www.d2ksoft.com)" as your "Full name:", and type your email address into the "Email:" field so that people can read web site and/or email you privately if they want to.

Sorry

redguardtoo;

Is anyone else carrying out the marketing stunt as you are!?
Why are you doing this?

It's me....

sorry ,
I have been an engineer and know nothing about marketing.

Someone told me that I can add signature if I answered questions, so I added it.
Seems my signature is inapprorite.
I apologize.

Intellisense looks like its being disentangled from pure development tool used by Microsoft, certainly in VFP 9 beta you can use Intellisense at run time and use your own templates.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if Intellisense was exposed as a system service along with the other Office services in the near future if not with Longhorn.

Do you know Microsoft GlobalIME?

It became some kind of system service many many years ago.

Funny how people are still re-re-re-inventing features Emacs has had for ~20 years, I think.

Tooltips, but it pops up on anything.  OK, where do the "anything" tips come from?  Does one pop up on ">"?  What could it possibly tell me that i'd care about?

Also, how bad can a person's grammar and word usage be for them to still be considered an English speaker?  No offense intended, but there seems to be a growing population that avoids tact and language acumen for no good reason.

redgaurdtoo, I'm a lazy hacker and I honestly don't need your tool.  What I need is someone or something to bring me donuts while I work and to wipe my ass after I take a shit (I'm fat and I have a hard time reaching my ass).

"yeah and then you tag some ridiculous 8 line signature to every post, which is incredibly irritating."

Is this coming from the tool whose tag was always "muppet from madebymonkeys.net"?

you mean just like half the folks here?

It's a huge difference, putting a url in the tiny name field down there vs taking up 8 lines of text in a post to advertise.  But then, you know that.
