developping for Windows & Mac : 4D ?

Hi,
i have red Joel's article saying that Apple should buy Real basic and make it 100% compatible with VB.

How about 4D ? Is it a product you can use to deploy on both platform ?
(i never use it myself).

Saw some app that was cross-platform thanks to 4D, but I have no idea at how reliable that is. Generally speaking, cross-platform applications often look and feel funny (the widgets don't look right, the keyboard shortcuts don't work as usual, etc.)

There are several ways to deploy on both environments.  Qt is one, RealBasic is another.  Qt actually looks like a real OS X program a surprising amount of the time.

Of course developing for multiple environments has its own burdens.
