Any free email sites that don't do this?

Insert advertising at the bottom of each email you send out. I'm not complaing about the ads just wondering if anyone has come across a site that doesn't do this.

Oh, but oddpost isn't free. Whoops. Free trial, though. And it's good.

gmail is beta so probably they don't want to advertise at the moment.

The point of gmail is to insert ads relevant to the receiver of the email. You don't see the ads when you write it, but it magically appears along the way.

Thought the point of gmail was that it would show ads based on the content of the message - to the owner of the account, not the recipients of the mails.

yeah gmail doesnt put ads in your email, it puts it down the side of the page when you are reading them

Gmail.

I have almost completely ignored the ads down the side except for the couple times I've clicked on them.

It's amazing when someone emails you and says "do you know anything about X?" and there are 3 links down side side selling it.

Amazingly helpful.

www.fastmail.fm -- they say that with the free service they add a tagline to the email, but I have a free address there and it does not do this.
