To catch-up with the subject, go read: http://www.joelonsoftware.com/items/2004/03/25.html

Well it looks like Joel may have his wish in the not so distant future. The Comega project has released a preview of their compiler which addresses issues such as concurrency, RDMS and XML interaction. You can even do GUI coding similar to XAML inline (with intellisense). The compiler also integrates with Visual Studio .NET 2003.

Worth a look

Anybody else find it interesting that a page on research.microsoft.com would include a link to a search on Google (instead of MSN.com)?

They use google? Isn't that bad for productivity? The last time google gave me a straight answer instead of 20,000 bogus link spammer URLs was 3 years ago.

Because Li Fan's top 5 searches are "Britney spears nude", "Busty blondes", "Free Smiley Icons", "Div-X Downloadz" and "Celeb Wallpapers"

Oh, yeah, Google is crap...that's why it's not only a household name, but even a commonly used *verb* ;-)
