using CDT on Eclipse

Hello all,

A bit of a technical question, but I can't find the answer anywhere else, so I'll waste your kind folks time ;-)

I'm give the CDT plugin (C/C++) on Eclipse a test, using an existing makefile-based project (Linux/gcc, if that matters). Imports/builds very nicely, but I'm unable to do any sort of browsing.

With the Java plugins I'm able to quick jump to the declaration of a class member for example, but the CDT just doesn't do it, despite having the capability on the context-sensitive menu.

Am I missing something, or has the CDT just not matured enough? Any information would be appreciated.

Did you try asking this on the Eclipse CDT newsgroup?  That's where the developers of the CDT hang out.

Eclipse.Tools.CDT on news.eclipse.org.

Does Data General still support the Eclipse?
