I need to minimize my gui. But I am using JWindows. Is there any way I could do it?

Umm, that's a pretty vauge posting. I take it you're trying to make your window invisible. Have you tried:

theWindow.setVisible(false);

yes i already tried tht..if i use jwindows, i do not have a minimize, restore, or close button..but i want to add a button to minimize the gui. i need to use jwindows becoz it creates a transperent container.

Do your users and yourself a favor and use normal JFrames like the rest of civilization.  We don't need any more almost-acts-like-a-norma-window l33t-h4cker-d00d custom windows.  They're not cool, ok?  They're ugly and annoying.

I think if you go read Joel's "User interface design for programmers" he mentions something about consistency and user expectations.

If you want the usual minimize, restore, and close buttons you have no choice but to use a JFrame.
