Terminal Services Question (2003)

I see I can configure Terminal Services on Win2003 to start a program when a user logs on by:

1) Group Policy
-or-
2) Terminal Services Configuration

Unfortunately, this is for ALL users. How can I set it up so that a "demo" user gets the program being demo'd, while the administrator gets the desktop as usual?

The docs mention you can do this via a user configuration in group policy . . . but, uhhh, how do you specify the user (I change the user configuration and it still applies to all users)?

Anyone able to help?

You need to put the demo user into it's own Organizational Unit (in active directory users + computers) then you can set group policy on that OU only by right-clicking the name of the OU.

If you need more detailed instructions feel free to post back.

You can do it in the client UI - does that work in your scenario?  (Use the programs tab.)

I don't know enough about GP to know about your other options.

Does terminal services allow shadowing ala citrix

To Spid: Yes it does.

In fact it does just about everything Citrix did for NT 4. The only loss we felt was the lack of seamless windows but that was often more of a pain to support than it was worth anyway.
