One Time Download Service

I recall running across a site a few months back that would allow you to upload a file to their server, which could then be downloaded by someone with a specific code (sent via e-mail). Afterwards the file would be deleted.

Having no use for it at the time, I poked around the site, but failed to store the url in my memory. Anyone know the site or one similiar?

Mark,

I'm not sure that was the site I was thinking of, but it seems to work well. Thanks for the link.

Jock,

"I forgot 'cause I'm a big dummy" just doesn't have the same ring.

I prefer to simply say, "I forgot." Of course, I once ordered a sandwich and when asked what I wanted on it, I said, "the default options."

Does yousendit.com have any aspirations to make money?  Are they going to start charging for this down the road?  Or are they the online department of the underwear gnomes?

One catch is that their availability could be better. I don't really know why they're providing the service free.

Although, 1GB limit on yousendit.com; 1 GB limit on gmail. Coincidence? I think not....

As to why they are free... they have an enterprise product with no price listed... which means it's not cheap.  I imagine a single sale would provide enough profit to pay for the free users for weeks if not months.

In other words, they probably consider the free service to be a marketing cost.
