back to "Writing a great employment ad"

a week later, but I just came across this job ad:

http://jobs.boston.com/texis/jobsearch/details.html?id=407c42a149d250

Personally, just by asking for the cover letter that they did, they'd go to the top of my list of companies to research.  It's a good blend of what you know, how you express yourself, and personality, and i would look forward to getting to know a company that not only cares about all three, but also managed to find an original and interesting way to determine if their applicants match their expectations.

I like it. Actually, this question:
"1) Worst C++ feature "

is one I've asked people in interviews. Works for any language, really.

What is the answer?

Templates w/out concept checking.  But maybe the answer is the preprocessor.  No wait Namespaces.  No, I mean the fact that private members are exposed to the user.

The number of things that default to "stupidity"...

Things like "by default, have a broken assignment operator". "By default, have a broken constructor"..

That's annoying.
