Well commiserations to them but unfortunately I doubt anyone actually noticed.

Much like university lecturers going on strike, who could tell?

Haven't read the story, but my suggestion is to do a Reagan on them, and fire them all.

I hope they all get fired....

If you're going to be sacked anyway, why not go out with a growl instead of a whimper?

IMO they should have burned the offices down. With their bosses in them.

Me either.

I thought it was pretty brilliant. So often on JOS we see complaints about programmers being seriously screwed by managements.

They probably could do something about this if they decided to because, let's face it, servers and software are pretty important.

Help desk isn't programming, but I take my hat off to these guys for having a few balls. I hope they get better settlements or whatever. It's the way other occupations manage their affairs.

Action,

If you have the right to resign when it pleases you, managemet too should have the right to sack you when it pleases them.

F*ck this call for compensation, and payoffs.

"managemet too should have the right to sack you when it pleases them"

You mean management has *never* had this right since Day 1?
