Compaq Evo and the Keyboard
Please excuse me for boring you with this question, but I don't know where to find highly qualified people.
Everybody here has the Evo N1015v (previous model) and we have never seen this.
I know this might sound stupid, but are you plugging it into the right port? Back in the days of PS/2 Model 80s all kinds of odd things happened if you got the mouse and keyboard plugged into each others ports.
I have had similar issues on other laptops. Here is a generic "try this."
Thank you for your feedback. Experts-exchange.com did not have any answers. My bios doesn't have power settings. Where do I find the detect mouse/keyboard feature? My laptop has only one ps/2 port, so it's impossible to plug it in the wrong hole.
Compaq Bioses, like most things compaq, are a royal PTA. I believe you can download a floppy disk from their web site which will let you do normal things with the BIOS, sich as tweak the settings.
