.asp email to fax networking issue....

Hi folks my name is Nigel and I arrive in need of assistance..

my firm has written a .asp that serves as a restaurant menu.....currently, when you place an order on the web page it sends me an email.......

what I need is to convert said email into a fax and send it long distance......hence ya know a fax gets sent to the restaurant instead of me getting an email.......

here is the plan.....i sell the .asp to as many of the 20,000 restaurants as I can(already have names of all owners) for say 150 dollers then charge them 10 dollers a month to send them a report of what they sold online...... the asp will already do that and it already works.....just cant make the hurdle......

cant use say efax because we Incurr a cost per page, which if you do the math is off the hook.....there are only 3 of us we cant  keep up nor do we want to pay it quite frankly....

so maybe i need a third party delivery agent of some sort...

I have been researching this for 8 months and have gotten nowhere.......

To clarify, I need to send a fax over the internet basically but to a phone..putting comps. in restaurants not an option.....

please help its our first major project and its our own but its about to kill me..

thanks much,
Nigel lew

how much information is being transferred?  if it were possible Id look at sending a text message to a specified cellphone # instead, simpler all around really.  (and requiring that the restaurant have a cellphone is not at all unreasonable).

onebox.com doesnt have a per page fee, and I am sure you can negotiate something with EFAX or Faxaway

I had developed a product for the same application, though it was not actually fully tested. It converts and sends email to a fax machine. The number can be specified in the subject.
