What online radio do you listen to?

Local radios in my area suck, so I got into the habit of listening to online radio using RealOne Player, WinAmp, Windows Media Player, and even iTunes.

The problem is that (with the exception of searching for online radio stations using iTunes) good radio stations are hard to find.

By "good" I mean - clear listening, doesn't interrupt, and has reasonable music (for me, that means without heavy metal and without rap - they are way too violent for my ears).

So - what online radio do you listen to?

http://www.winamp.com/ has a list of shoutcast stations - I have a bookmarked list and switch around.

Decent quality. You choose what music you listen to. It's worth those $3 they charge.

My DSL provider gave me a free year of Rhapsody radio service, which I'm enjoying.

ShoutCast.com has a ton of good ones.  Most of the Top 10 are very good ranging from 80s to Alternative to Lite Jazz to Classical.  You can break down your query by type of station and the search feature allows you to see which stations are playing the Beatles for example.

I like Secret Agent: The soundtrack for your stylish, mysterious, dangerous life. For Spies and P.I.'s too!

I always listen to my vast collection of *legal* mp3's. In the past I have tried online radio, but founding annoyingly choppy (on my cable modem) and have not tried it in about two years. Is it still a challenge?

Dude, patriots.com radio!  PFW in progress, Pats playbook with John Rooke, I love it!

Of course it may not have universal appeal, but the great thing about that is they always read your emails on the air!

wfmu.org is VERY eclectic, comes out of the NYC area, so it's kind of fun to listen to here in the Pacific Northwest. Program titles range from stuff like "Jewish Moments in the Morning" to "Antique Phonograph Music Program" to "The Pounding System (dub, electronica, beat)", etc, etc......

And did I mention the show entitled "Give the Drummer Some" tomorrow at 9am (eastern time) described as "The finest in Micronesian doo-wop, Appalachian mambo, Turkish mariachi, pygmy yodeling of Baltimore, Portuguese juju, Cajun gamelan, tuba choirs form Mozambique, Inuit marching bands, Filipino free jazz, Egyptian kabuki theater, and throat singers of the Lower East Side." huh? Gotta give it a listen now don't you? WFMU :)
