Speaking of neat watches...
Hmmm. They have a pen too http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/electronic/635f/ When are we getting USB brains?
Bluetooth brains rather...
My brain would work across an RS-232 cable.
a friend of mine has this. The problem with it is (other than the fact that it is UGLY). that the ideal stuff to put in this watch would be crap like one's checking account and credit card numbers, etc. but you can't get at it anyway without plugging in to your computer.
I have seen a few comments on Slashdot regarding how xyz Linux distro could actually boot from it...
You could store things like your knoppix profile on it... wear that and carry a knoppix cd and every machine you come to is a personalised workstation!
What we want is a USB bootstrap so the metaphor really will have come full circle.
These theads reminded me of those cool Fossil watches being developed that ran the Palm OS. Unfortunately, it looks like that was vaporware...
Great, so when the flash drive gets hit by cosmic rays and craps out, I'm out a watch, too?
Yes, and just as geeky... Though you'll have to adjust to telling time on a 24 hour watch with no minute hand. This one is definately for people who have a more lax, celestial view of time.
