How big is this board's database?

How many megabytes is the post database for this message board?  It must be pretty big because there are a lot of new posts here everyday.

Just a stab in the dark...

10 threads a day (probably on the liberal side)
10 responses per thread
2KB per response
365.25 days a year (resonably accurate)

73 MB a year.

About nine years to fill up a CD?

I don't see this being a huge problem.

Is this one of those "how many petrol stations are in Los Angeles" questions? :)

http:www.usabilitymustdie/jos/ has stats for all posts on the forum.

Could be a Fermi problem, MadMan.  I prefer "How many atoms of Jesus do you eat every day?" as an example.

Speaking of http://www.usabilitymustdie.com/jos/WW_MonthlyStats.html , does http://www.digitalquery.com/joelarchive ( which was mentioned in http://discuss.fogcreek.com/joelonsoftware/default.asp?cmd=show&ixPost=9154 ) work for anyone else? It doesn't work for me ... and the "Search" that's built-in to http://discuss.fogcreek.com/joelonsoftware/ seems to work poorly or not at all.

Stephen,

Congratulations on your huge lead.  Thats a lot of posts.

How do you find the time?  I ranked no1 while I was busy working out my notice period.

I have not changed this stupid nic just so that I at least have to bear the shame of being ranked so high on that page.

Ged.. As #2, I can tell you that when I was working... I had lots of free time. Now that I'm unemployed, I have lots of free time.

Even though I'm working on things now, JoS is a nice distraction from that work. I mean... since I'm already in front of the computer...

At the present rate Mark and Philo both should overtake me in September.

As for having the time, what else is there to do in Saudi? When I'm on holiday, like now, I surf much less.

What makes you say that, Stephen? I've been posting here for at least a year. I think you're the far & away leader, like Nike... We're just lowly Reebok and Puma.

You posted before under another handle. Look at the date for your present handle and do the maths; both you and Philo are catching up real quick.

Now if they counted the number of words, then Albert would be in the stratosphere.
