Shiva Netmodem?

I have to deal with receiving files that will be dialled into a Shiva Netmodem with four modems. My application will be the only one using this comm path.

Has anyone coded against one of these? Does the OS just see it as four modems on four serial ports? (Because if that's the case this is easy - I can do modems)

Thanks,

If you're using PPP over the wire, and the Shiva supports this on the other end, you should use the Multilink protocol. PPP specifically has support for aggregating multiple physical connections into a single logical connection, then it would work for everything that runs on TCP/IP, not just your app.

No- the issue is other companies dialling into our facility to deliver a file. It's FTP except their system only handles dialup. So I have to catch the ring, connect, accept the file, ack, and hang up.
