POST XML document via HTTPS

Can anyone point me in the right direction on how to POST some XML via HTTPS?  I have IXMLHTTPRequest working with pure HTTP, but I can't figure out how to get it working with HTTPS.  Thanks!

That means your client software needs to know how to negotiate a SSL session.

http://www.openssl.org

should get you started with how SSL sessions work.

Good luck

xmlhttp? just use https instead of http in the url and it should work just fine.
but it might fail if there is a certificate error of some form. can you browse to the url in IE without any warnings?
what error does xmlhttp return?

libcurl may give you some hints...

Stay away from OpenSSL and cURL as they have nothing to do with ASP/.NET.

Does your script execute on the browser or on the server? If on the server, assuming you have reasonably up-to-date IIS and XML Parser, you should be able to do a secure POST by simply switching the URL to "https" and making all the same calls. Are you getting error messages? Have you reviewed "http://www.microsoft.com/xml"?
