Cheapest VC++ Professional?

I'm vaguely looking for a VC++ professional edition.

6 is good, .net is better.

Academic is not good enough.

VStudio is even better, but I don't want to pay big $ for it.

Anybody have any ideas that are NOT Ebay?

How about checking out the local university bookstore?

"Academic is not good enough"

The license doesn't let you sell the $oftware you produce.

Matt,

I should have said more, I have seen other editions (Enterprise/ Professional)  being sold at University bookstores, some of which were on sale.

Check it out.

I don't think that's actually true, at least not for the .NET version.  I believe it's an urban legend.  Have you read the EULA?

(Not to mention the fact that if something isn't mentioned anywhere but in the EULA, it's not likely enforceable under current laws.)

Uhh... I saw one that was about $25,000 a year. But I'm not sure if he was professional.

(I couldn't resist!)
