references

one of my references is my previous manager.He had given me a written open letter of reference, when I had left.When somebody contacts him by phone or e-mail, would his reference be along the lines of the letter?

It probably would be.  it might also depend on how long ago you worked for him.  Hopefully, he still remembers you and your work.  Of course, if you're questioning you're manager and his reference, perhaps you shouldn't be using him as a reference.

Ahh, that was a good movie (Ronin):

Vincent: How did you know it was an ambush?

Sam: Whenever there is any doubt, there is no doubt. That's the first thing they teach you.

Vincent: Who teaches you?

Sam: I forget. That's the second thing they teach you.

I know this isn't quite perfect, but hell, it's pretty close considering 8-}
