HCI education

Hi All,

I am an undergrad in my senior year in college. I have applied for programs in HCI in some grad schools. I was wondering how many people here have done formal courses in human computer interaction and about the prospect of getting a job after grad school, assuming the economy bounces back up. After all, everyone needs an user interface person...right ?

Atreu,

I'm curious what HCI schools you applied to.  I briefly looked at Georgia Tech's HCI masters program.

Did you consider GA Tech?  What other schools did you apply to?

I am also interested in graduate HCI programs and am curious what you have found.

I too am an undergrad senior (Computer Science). I'm seriously looking into HCI for master's study -- some of the programs I'm applying to include Carnegie Mellon's, Stanford's, and Michigan's (Ann Arbor)...these seem to be the more distinguished ones.

Anyone have any input with regard to employment prospects in 1. industry  2. research/academia, I think we'd all be interested.
