All I can say is stay away from Rational Quantify.

I wasted a whole day trying to get it to work only to find that, like all Rational software I've tried, it crashed badly (even bringing VB down with it) no matter what I did.

Believe it or not I've had more luck just hitting the break key a few hundred times during long operations and keeping a histogram on graph paper.

"..only to find that, like all Rational software I've tried, it crashed badly.."

I used to think it was ironic that Rational peddles software quality tools, but does not even know how to create *marginally* reliable software.  I thought that four years ago when I tried an evaluation version of Rational Rose that kept crashing all the time.

Rational has had at least four years to become organized.  It has passed irony; now it is pitiable.

Rational:  located in Seattle, where buggy software and pitiful software engineering runs rampant.  Its cultural, no one checks their work.

"Hey, it works over here".

I second aivosto, we've used Code Analyzer and it is really good, didn't work with .NET though, although I am using an old version, maybe they have a new version already. The VB6 version I have is a real quality improvement tool.

I can't say enough good things about pdProfiler from from PlatformDev.  We've used to this to profile all kinds of VB6 apps with great results.  It's very easy to setup and the analysis is very thorough and easy to use.
