How does the product registration work

So I had to put in my order code to start FogBUGZ and it looks like its tied the order code to my machine.

Now my question is what happens if Fogcreek goes out of business, does that mean I can't move or re-install FogBUGZ?

We're not going out of business, and if we do, we'll leave behind a version of fogutil.dll that doesn't check the licenses.
