Rename a filter?

I've recently ended up with enough filters that I find myself needing to rename them so I can find them easily. (the new scheme is "<category> name".)

Is there a 1 step process, or is edit, save under new name, delete under original the only way currently?

(If so, is a rename widget generally useful enough to include in a future release?)

Currently, saving under a new name and deleting the old one is the only way to do this.
