.NET Quality Assurance and Testing

Well here goes, I know this is a huge topic...but frankly I can find little "quality" information out there on this.

Someone suggested looking up Microsoft's Solution Framework - ummm couldn't quite find it on a search of their site.

Please can anyone direct me to a concise and informative place where I can look at QA and Testing strategies and methods for .NET

Thanks very much.

Are you trying to test a .NET application?  ".NET Solution Framework" means two things; the .NET Framework and the .NET languages that go along with it.  Check out tools like NUnit for unit testing .Net applications.

There are also tools such as FxCop that test your .NET application's design and implementation compliance with the MS recommended best practices set.

Personally, I like FxCop but turn off quite a few of the tests that it tries to run simply because those best practices are overkill.

I suggest you look at Test driven development (TDD) - http://www.testdriven.com and http://codebetter.com/blogs/darrell.norton/articles/50337.aspx
