Grid

I am looking for a good grid I can use in WinForms applications. Datagrid just doesn't cut it, there are many things it doesn't support and it needs a whole lot of workarounds to get the basics done (line full line selection).

Any reccomendations?

I prefer an open source, but that's not a must.

We just switched from ComponentOne's TrueDB Grid .NET to Janus GridEX ( http://www.janusys.com/controls/ ) and would recommend it to anyone looking for a full-featured grid.

It takes quite a bit to get us to retool our code just to change a grid (there were some 600 grid in the app to change), but after 15 minutes with it we knew it would be worth it.

I've always been very impressed by Developer Express -- http://www.devexpress.com/ -- although I've yet to use their WinForms grid "in anger".  It's Delphi-based predecessor was good; I used it a lot.

PS IIRC Developer Express ship all their stuff with source code.

not really a grid sort of chap but I do use the Infragistics NetAdvantage suite and it seems to have an awesome grid control that works in both Win forms and Web forms.
