Comments on using postgreSql or sqlite?

I saw a few post here about .net with postgreSql or sqlite but only a few comments about which of these one would prefer to use and why, and -important also- which data provider seems to work best..

The goal is actualy to find a free DB, including for comercial use: see my OP here http://tinyurl.com/57kfr for background infos.. (god I love the tinyUrl's toolbar button!)

See this post about sqlite: http://tinyurl.com/3ts59
and this one about postgreSql: http://tinyurl.com/3mzeh

Comments anyone? Thanks in advance!

I believe sqlite is the back-end for the Meedio HTPC product (www.meedio.com). It seems to work well there...

You'd have to mention what your platform is.

I'd like to use Postgres, but I'm waiting for the native Windows version.

SQLite is designed to be used as an embedded db.  PG is designed for use in client/server situations.

I think your best bet is to code against the generic interfaces (IDbConnection, IDbCommand, etc).  Why tie yourself to a specific provider if you don't have to?
